Leg Lengthening Route & Doctors

    I have not seen them, but I did extensive research and from what I found that is the best place you can go. We considered taking our son, but at this point they don't think he will need the surgery.

    I am looking for anyone who has seen either Dr. Paley (Baltimore) or Dr. Robert Bernstein (Los Angeles) and has chosen to go with the leg lengthening opperation. My son has seen Dr. Paley, was diagnosed with a very mild form of PFFD and I want to talk with other parents who went with or are going through the leg lengthening route. We see Dr. Bernstein on Friday, April 25th.

    We are not having lengthening done, but my son is a patient of Dr. Paley's and is wearing a fixator now for correction. We have met many patients there who are having the lengthening procedures. I will be happy to answer any questions that you may have as I may.

    My son is two months old and was born with Fibular Hemimelia on his right foot. We have an appointment to see Dr. Paley in Baltimore. I would like to know any parents who their child has FH and have gone through the leg lengthening process and what the results have been. Please e-mail me, thank you.

    hello i have a daughter that was born also with FH. she is 11 months old I saw dr.herzenberg he is also in dr paley group wonderful doctor I must say.. I am planning on relocating to be closer to that group . did lots of research i've been to the shriners in erie pa... and i was going to stop there but my family insisted on trying one more place .. awesome ....

    My son Nicholas sees Dr.Standard at Sinai in Baltimore and is currently having his 2nd lengthening. He is doing great and we could not be happier with Dr.Standard. And I would be happy to share our experience my email is jencurley22@mac.com
