short femur

    Daughter-in law 28 weeks pregnant and babies femur is about half the length that it should be. The other leg is fine and everything else is too. What should we expect the Dr's to do the first year?? We are talking cm's now. At a year old I wonder how much of a difference....worried!!

    Everything will be ok. Don't make any hurried decisions about surgery. I grew up very happily without any tampering with my short leg!
    I understand the worry, but really - we usually do quite well in life, especially since there usually is nothing wrong with the head! See my other posts from today.
