My daughter just turned 2 and she was born without her Ulna, Radius, elbow, part of her shoulder, or wrist. She has all 5 fingers on her hand and she is able to grip and move them individually as well which the doctors said was wonderful. She really has no problems with her arm except that is it just shorter which causes frustrations sometimes when she is trying to pick things up. She has adapted EXTREMELY well ever since she was first born actually, but I was wondering if there is anything that can be done to possibly correct part of the situation? Also, her muscles in her chest seem to not have quite developed correctly either. Any one with this particular problem, please let me know any insight you might have for my little Nemo!

Hi ChloesMommy405!
I´m 25 years old woman and i was born without radius aplasia and my hands are shorter. I have gone through several painful bone lengthening,it has been stretched with a so-called hammerin device. with the stretching of bones a more length perhaps gets some centimetres. My left hand has also been moved a bone piece from my leg.The drawback is that the foot gets sore easily.
n spite of the shortness of hands and missing of the spiral movement of the wrist I manage quite well and do in the life.Posted 7 months ago #
